We'd embed this but they've asked people not to. In the YouTube video, Yamakawa is on the left and Toba is on the right. Yamakawa Yutaka and Toba Ichirou are both enka singers. Yamakawa Yutaka, Toba Ichirou, and the passwords for Trick Heart Castle – The passwords to get in to Trick Heart Castle seem to be some sort of word association game. They really do have wiki articles for everything. This is in spite of the fact that “good” Japanese boys and girls grow up to get married and have children… hmm… I can’t say for certain how this affected the perception of homosexuality in Japan, but I can say that in modern Japan the prevailing attitude seems to be that homosexuality is very rare, but that it is very common, even normal, to fall in love with someone of the same sex at some time in one’s life.Īlso, if you watch any sort of Japanese variety or game shows, you will notice that they have quite a few homosexual and transgendered celebrity personalities. constitute harm both to oneself and one’s partner.) However, with the introduction of Christianity, the concept of “sin” was introduced and attached to various practices. One of the basic concepts in Buddhism, for example, is “”do no harm,” and adultery, sleeping around, violent sexual crimes, etc.

(This isn’t to say that they approve of indiscriminate sexual habits. Shinto and Buddhism have no inherent prohibitions against homosexuality, nor do they attach shame to sexual relationships of any kind regardless of the state of wedlock. Homosexuality is somewhat complicated in Japan because, historically, it hasn’t been viewed as immoral or sinful, although, it is viewed as something-that-doesn’t-happen-to-real-pe ople or just-a-phase in modern Japan. This is a pretty derogatory term, but in recent years the homosexual community has appropriated it and uses it as its own. Okama – Homosexual male, often one who dresses or identifies as a female.

Many times people in Japan are referred to by their title instead of a proper name, if both the speaker and listener know exactly who is being referred to. Overall Country Princess is one of the better older dramas I’ve seen, that I would recommend. It's finally here! The first episode of Atashinchi no Danshi is complete! Yay! As usual, we have loads of lovely notes for you. Rewatch: Really liked the story but the characters (except for Eun Hee) wasn’t memorable so I cant say whether id rewatch this or not. Music: Not memorable but I do like that it wasn’t in your face. The actress that played the mom was brilliant and although she can be seen as evil, you will feel sympathetic for her character. At times they were both unlikable and I just didn’t understand some of their decisions. I think the writers screwed up when writing their characters though. As for the guys, they were just okay not really impressive as the girls but they both had chemistry with the ladies. I didn’t feel sympathetic for her character in the end and it pisses me off she gets to keep her cushiony life after all the evil things she did to her own sister. The actress that played her Unni was good (not as good as Doona) but I hated her character. Now as for her character, she can come off as borderline crazy and sometimes off putting but when you get past all that you will see her as a tough, hardworking family girl that you can root for. As for the ending it was okay but could have been better.Īcting/Cast: I already know Bae Doona is an excellent actress (have seen quite a few of her past works) but she was really perfect as Eun Hee. Atashinchi no danshi (A casa dos 6 rapazes)Mineta Chisato é uma jovem desabrigada que cai numa cilada armada pelo seu pai que contraiu uma divida de jogo de. It gets drawn out to the every end without anything really being solved. Another thing I didn’t like was the birth secret really didn’t have the closure I was expecting. In the beginning you think she is going to end up with one guy but close to the end you still don’t know which guy she will end up with till the very end. First, the romance was written in a way that had me confused. Now there were some things that I didn’t like about it though. There was some subtle comedy but it really can be classified as a family melodrama. Bae Doona’s character had more than enough of her shared tragedy I’ll tell you that. Story: I knew from reading the synopsis it would be an interesting story but I had no idea all the unexpected things that were going to happen. Rewatch Value 6.0 I’ve been trying to watch Country Princess for a couple years now but had never been able to find it subbed it previously became available on Crunchyroll so I decided to watch it right away…
